‘The Molecules of Life: Physical and Chemical Principles’ by Dr John Kuriyan was released on Tuesday 14th August 2012 at New Biological Science building Auditorium at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The evening began with a lecture by Dr. John Kuriyan on "Allosteric Mechanisms in the Activation of the EGF Receptor" followed by the release of the book by Prof. P. Balaram, Director of Indian Institute of Science, Prof K. Vijayaraghavan, Director of National Centre for Biological Sciences and Prof M.K Mathew at the National Centre for Biological Sciences.
The event was a grand affair and was graced by eminent personalities from the field of Molecular Biology & other academicians. Over 150 Research Scholars & professors attended the book release function. This was a very interactive session for the students as Dr. Kuriyan answered all their questions and the event ended with a quiz organized by the author along with a lucky draw.
