Taylor & Francis India participated in 100th Indian Science Congress held at University of Calcutta, Kolkata from 3 Jan - 7 Jan 2013. Annual Session of Indian Science Congress has emerged as a
major national event and also one of the most prestigious and biggest event of
India. The theme selected for the centenary session was “Science for shaping the future of
India” which was attended by scientists, academicians and
students from across various part of the country. It was a big showcase of our
Taylor & Francis Group brand where we displayed our newly published titles
in the areas of Pure & Applied sciences like Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering and Social Sciences which further
highlighted the standards and the quality of our publishing thus perfectly
fitting with the growing research and need for quality academic books in
Science & technology and social sciences.
The historic 100th ISC
was inaugurated by Hon’ble President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee in the
presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India (Also the General President 100th
ISC), Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt. of West Bengal, Hon’ble Governor, State of
West Bengal and number of distinguished dignitaries on the dias and thousands
of 100th ISC delegates at the Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata on 3rd January 2013.
This was followed by inauguration of the PoI Expo by Shri
S. Jaipal Reddy, Hon’ble Minister of Science and Technology and Earth Sciences,
GoI. The dignitaries spent considerable time from their busy schedule in the
expo and were impressed with the splendid efforts put in by all the exhibitors
for the promotion of Science & Technology.
Finally on the last day of the event we were presented with a beautiful momento and also a certificate of participation.
