New Delhi World Book Fair 2013

Taylor & Francis Group participated in New Delhi World Book Fair, 2013, held at the heart of India – New Delhi, from 4 February 2013 – 10 February 2013. Taylor & Francis Group was placed at Hall No. 6, Stall No. 101-108. We displayed over 2000 books covering our imprints such as Routledge, CRC Press, Garland Science, Psychology Press, Earthscan, Routledge India Originals, Routledge, Focal Press, Europa Publications, Butterworth Heinemann, Hodder Higher Education & Medical and much more. We also displayed our complete product range of Journals & Online Resources. We had great presence, good business, brilliant footfall, and the support of all the members of Taylor Francis in this fair.

Theme of the 2013 World Book Fair was "Indigenous Voices: Mapping India's Folk and Tribal Literature", where the multifarious expressions of Indian's traditional native cultures including exhibit of books, traditional art forms, crafts, panel discussions and performances was showcased. The inauguration of the event was done by Hon'ble Minister of Indian Minister of State for Human Resource Development on 4 February, 2013. It was a big success and around 1070 exhibitors including 28 foreign exhibitors and international bodies like WHO, UNESCO, ILO and WORLD BANK participated. Several publishers from foreign countries like China, Pakistan and U.A.E. have participated in the event. Penguins, HarperCollins, Oxford University Press, Cambridge etc., are some of the biggest names from trade publishing who made the fair fulfilling and profitable. 


























29th Darsana International Book Fair

Taylor & Francis Group participated in The 29th Darsana International Book Fair from 1 Feb – 10 Feb 2013 at the Thirunakkara Maidan. The event was organized by Darsana Culture Centre. The fair was inaugurated by Mr. K.V. Thomas,  Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. We displayed our titles of Routledge India Originals, Indian Reprints – Science & Technology and Humanities & Social Science titles and received good response.

We look forward to participate in similar conferences in the future.

Kolkata Book Fair 2013

Taylor & Francis Group participated in The 37th International Kolkata Book Fair 2013 from 26 January 2012 – 10 February 2013. The focal theme country was Bangladesh. The inauguration of the Kolkata Book Fair 2013 was done on 26th January 2013 by Prof Anisujjaman and the Chief Guest was Smt Mamata Banerjee, Hon’ble Chief Minister, West Bengal.   

More than 100 publishers such as Macmillan, Pearson, Oxford University Press etc participated in the fair and displayed their books. Local publishers such as script, projapati, katha, Vikalp etc. displayed the regional language books. Over 1.6 Million book lovers visited the fair. 

We displayed our entire imprint list and the complete product range for Journals & Online Resources.









36th Chennai Book Fair

Taylor & Francis Group participated in The 36th Chennai Book Fair held at YMCA Ground Nandanam, Chennai from 11th Jan 2013 to 23rd Jan 2013. The event was organised by Bookseller’s & Publishers’ Association of South India (BAPASI). N R Sivapathi, Minister for School Education, inaugurated the fair in the presence of K T Rajendra Balaji, Minister for Information and Special Project Implementation and Saidai S Duraisamy, Chennai mayor.

There were around 747 stalls, with 450 participants. The participants included 250 Tamil publishers, 127 English publishers and 37 media organizations. During the fair Taylor & Francis saw a footfall of over 1000 visitors, the highest number for an academic stall consisting of Scientist, professionals and university/college students.

In all, we displayed over 300 titles including a few originals as well.  We displayed most of our Routledge India Originals, Indian Reprints – Science & Technology and Humanities & Social Science titles, Indian priced books on Engineering and all the Indian edition handbooks. The participants seemed keen on buying Indian priced books but were open to take in few high priced titles on new subject areas.

Participating in The 36th Chennai Book Fair was a great experience. We look forward to participate in similar conferences in the future.
